Procedures and Policies

  • First Step

    After completing our Intake Form, someone from our team will schedule a call to learn about your child’s needs and your goals, discuss fees and answer any questions. We are happy to review any reports and communicate with teachers, doctors, and educational, occupational and/or physical therapists.

  • First Session

    A team member will conduct an individually-designed assessment comprised of formal (scored) and informal tasks. We consider performance and your child’s availability to make thoughtful recommendations for intervention. So, how many sessions per week, where and when.

  • Weekly Sessions

    Our multi-sensory, academic support, or speech-language pathology sessions are 45 minutes long, and goals identified during the first session or assessment, are targeted. These are updated regularly to reflect progress and challenges. Frequency (sessions per week) varies.

  • Attendance Policy

    Please note, we require 24-hour notice for non-emergency cancellations like medical appointments and events. Sessions that are canceled less than 24 hours in advance will be charged the full rate. Thank you for understanding.

  • Billing/Insurance Policy

    We do not accept medical insurance, but do provide invoices containing diagnosis and treatment codes, tax ID numbers, etc. that can be submitted to your insurer for reimbursement. We do not take responsibility for insurance company denials.

  • Other Policies

    Our team members are background-checked, fingerprinted, licensed and assessed for their ability to provide effective intervention, as per LGR’s evidence-based standards. They receive training on, and are in compliance with, LGR’s Abuse Prevention, Anti-Discrimination, Anti-Theft, and Social Media policies.
